Mr Sheth

Mr Sheth is a Moorfields trained eye surgeon, and was appointed as a consultant in 2011.  He has over 20 years experience in the assessment and management of eye conditions and has performed some 4000 cataract surgeries.  

He qualified from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School, Imperial College, London in 1997 and undertook rotations in Accident and Emergency in London and in Neurosurgery, Plastic surgery and Ophthalmology in Brisbane, Australia. 

 

His basic surgical training in Ophthalmology was in the prestigious eye unit at St Thomas' Hospital in London, followed by higher surgical training in Ophthalmology and Cataract Surgery at the internationally recognised Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.  He has a fellowship training in Glacuoma from Moorfields Eye Hospital.

He as been active in teaching and research with 35 peer-reviewed publications and 20 posters presented nationally and internationally.  He was a teaching fellow at Moorfields Eye Hospital and led teaching for GP colleagues at the Royal Society of Medicine, London and across Buckinghamshire.  Similarly, he has been involved in teaching and mentoring optometry colleagues at Moorfields and in Buckinghamshire.  Mr. Sheth served as a member of the Formulary Management Group and New Clinical Procedures Committee in Buckinghamshire and has been the Governance Lead for Ophthalmology for several years. 

Mr Sheth offers expert, bespoke 'state of the art' cataract surgery. You will be in good hands and he has approaching a zero complication rate from his cataract surgeries. He also accepts referrals from GPs and opticians for general eye conditions. He is able to see patients at CHG The Chiltern Hospital, Stoke Mandeville Hospital and Amersham Hospital. Surgeries are performed at CHG The Shelburne Hospital and Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Consultations are unhurried and patients receive all the time and information they desire. Miss Subash

 

 

Miss Subash is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital Foundation Trust and is the Clinical Lead for the Retinal Vascular Occlusion Service and College Tutor.

 

She fulfilled her comprehensive Ophthalmology Residency on the North Thames and Moorfields Eye Hospital rotation giving her the opportunity to spend a few years working in Europe's largest Eye Hospital and gain a vast amount of experience in all fields of Ophthalmology including complex cataract surgery.  Following on from this she pursued her interest in medical retina with a fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital during which she was also the main impetus for the largest modern day clinical trial addressing diabetic retinopathy and driving vision standards.  This has been recently published in a prestigious Ophthalmology journal.

 

She has over 20 peer-reviewed publications and has presented her work at both national and international conferences.  She is actively involved in training and education and is a college tutor for trainees.

 

Miss Subash feels very passionately about her work and is committed to continuing professional development and working in partnership with her patients to provide them with what she feels is the best possible care.
